The Client
teleCalm reduces stress for families and caregivers of senior citizens who have Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and other degenerative diseases via safe phone service. It also provides its safe phone service for seniors living at home and assisted living communities.
The Challenge
teleCalm’s existing app, though functional, is based on legacy code and infrastructure. The company needed to add more features, especially in light of the current pandemic, and enhance its reliability and be scalable and future-ready!

The Solution
Synerzip partnered with teleCalm, understood its vision, and collaborated on the design analysis and new feature development.
Primarily built as a mobile application, teleCalm stepped into the current age with a frontend built with AngularJS and ReactJS. Complementing this frontend, was a robust backend that facilitates the actual VOIP calling and messaging using APIs from Plivo, Twilio, and Sakari.
To reduce cost by reducing manual effort and accelerate development and delivery, a CICD pipeline using Bitbucket is also operational. Being mindful of the end-user, teleCalm’s performance and service availability are imperative, and hence MongoDB schema was chosen to improve performance.
The Outcome
Synerzip helped teleCalm bridge the gap between families and seniors living in care facilities. This critical product made especially for seniors with disorders gives them a sense of comfort and security to live a confident life.
Almost the entire world made a transition to working from home during the current pandemic. Teams from teleCalm and Synerzip made a smooth transition to an all-remote set up and adhered to all previously committed deliverables, including two production releases.
