Only one thing matters in software development – to successfully deliver a product so users can derive value. If we’re not succeeding with it, it does not matter what the process is called or how we do it. Agile development can help reduce risk and increase the chances of success, but there is no magic wand we can wave at the problem for a quick-fix. It takes disciplined, dedicated, and continuous effort to achieve the desired results.

In this webinar, award winning author and practitioner, Venkat Subramaniam will start with the main goals of agile development and how to realize them. He will discuss general blockers and impediments that get into our way of achieving agility and speed. We’ll discuss roles of architecture, design, and testing in agile development. Finally we’ll look into one of the most crucial areas – customer participation and how to involve customers in adaptive planning. Finally we’ll conclude with a discussion on adapting to agility and some pragmatic ways to succeed.
